Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos big-mana strategy built around Ozai, the Phoenix King. Ozai prevents unspent mana from emptying as phases end, turning all leftover mana into stored red mana. Combined with firebending attack triggers, the deck rapidly accumulates large mana reserves across turn cycles. This mana is channeled into massive game-ending X-spells like Crackle with Power and Comet Storm, or multiple combat steps with Aggravated Assault and Hellkite Charger. The deck leverages Ozai's high printed power to cast efficient defensive spells like Not of This World and Bolt Bend for little to no mana. While the deck lacks targeted tutors, deep impulse draw cards like Commune with Lava and Zenith Festival leverage the banked mana to dig into redundant win conditions and close out games quickly once the engine comes online.
