Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain tribal and connive midrange strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost Villain creatures, casting Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and utilizing his combat trigger to repeatedly connive. Conniving filters through the library, puts +1/+1 counters on attackers, and converts discarded lands into direct life loss against each opponent. Midgame turns expand this board with explosive tribal synergies, leveraging Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Leader, Super-Genius to amplify counters and card flow, while Ultron, Unlimited and Red Ghost, Intangible Genius generate token armies. Top-end threats like The Squadron Sinister grant broad evasion and haste, enabling lethal combat swings by Turn 6 to 8. The deck backs up this aggressive creature strategy with robust Grixis spot removal, flexible sweepers like Kindred Dominance, and light combat taxes, delivering a synergistic combat-focused experience.
