Deck overview

This Gruul deck uses Aerid Konstrari at the helm to merge artifact token generation with stompy beatdown and burn. The strategy accelerates through low-cost mana dorks and ramp sorceries to deploy Aerid on Turn 3, immediately generating Heartwood artifact tokens. As the battlefield fills with mana-producing artifact tokens, passive damage dealers like Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist chip away at opposing life totals with every token created. Heavy card draw spells such as Rishkar's Expertise and Return of the Wildspeaker exploit Aerid's 5 base power to keep resources flowing without losing momentum. The deck closes games around Turn 6 to 7 using decisive overruns from Craterclaw Colossus or Depthshaker Titan, which weaponize high artifact counts into overwhelming trample attacks. A robust creature-tutor suite and efficient redirection spells provide reliable access to threats and protection against targeted removal, giving the deck a resilient, hard-hitting clock.
