Deck overview

This mono-black deck pairs Burakos, Party Leader with Haunted One to execute a synergistic Party Aristocrats strategy. Burakos inherently covers all four party classes (Cleric, Rogue, Warrior, Wizard), ensuring that every party creature in the 99 shares a creature type with the commander. When Burakos attacks, Haunted One triggers to grant the entire party +2/+0 and undying, simultaneously creating a resilient combat threat and free fodder for aristocrat sacrifice engines. In addition, Burakos generates up to four Treasure tokens and drains defending players on each swing, establishing massive mana velocity. The deck translates this surplus mana and undying recursion into relentless card advantage and table-wide drain via Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Nadier's Nightblade, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Grim Haruspex. High-impact finishers such as Bolas's Citadel and Exsanguinate leverage big-mana lands like Cabal Coffers to close the game around Turn 7.
