Deck overview

Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER is a single-faced commander and the deck's card-advantage engine: haste, an on-entry Equipment attach, a per-equipped-attacker draw, and a power-7 Treasure trigger. The primary plan is to ramp to five, suit Cloud with cheap Equipment, and turn every attack into cards and mana. Secondary paths use extra-combat effects-Aggravated Assault, Aurelia, Hexplate Wallbreaker, Genji Glove, and Tifa-to convert those resources into repeated lethal swings.
