Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Aggro build commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The strategy revolves around casting Azula on Turn 4 and attacking on Turn 5 to trigger Firebending 2, generating {R}{R} during combat. Azula copies any spell cast while she is attacking, allowing the deck to double combat tricks, burn spells, and cantrips at instant speed. Prowess creatures and pingers like Guttersnipe, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Black Waltz No. 3 amplify this output into substantial table-wide life loss. The deck plays a fair, combat-oriented game plan without infinite combos or extra turn loops. It faces pacing challenges from a high count of tapped lands and thin early ramp, requiring careful navigation of combat steps and spot protection to close out games across multiple attack rotations.
