Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Mono-Green Stompy game plan centered around Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The primary engine accelerates mana on Turn 1 and deploys high-power, low-mana creatures on Turns 2 and 3, such as Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull. Accumulating 10 or more total power discounts Ghalta's casting cost to just {G}{G}, reliably casting the 12/12 trampler on Turn 4. Critical onset occurs on Turn 5, putting opponents on a short commander damage clock while drawing cards through power-matters engines like Elemental Bond and Garruk's Uprising. Without infinite combos or tutors, the deck closes the game through consecutive combat steps, eliminating opponents one by one by Turn 8. Its main vulnerabilities are mass creature removal and targeted exile effects, but a dense suite of backup threats like Carnage Tyrant and Gigantosaurus allows the deck to rebuild pressure rapidly.
