Deck overview

This Dimir spellslinger and combo deck is built around Hidetsugu and Kairi. The primary game plan is to cast the commander, use its enter-the-battlefield ability to draw three cards and stack high-cost spells on top of the library, and then exploit the legend rule by creating clone copies. Each time a clone enters, the legend rule immediately sends one copy to the graveyard, simultaneously triggering an enter-the-battlefield draw-and-stack effect and a death trigger that drains an opponent's life total while free-casting the top-decked spell. By chaining clone effects, reanimation spells, and massive payoffs such as Rise of the Eldrazi, In Garruk's Wake, and Breach the Multiverse, the deck can rapidly drain all opponents out of the game in a single explosive turn. Solid countermagic, reanimation backup, and top-deck tutors ensure consistent setup and resilience against standard disruption.
