Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange strategy centered on deathtouch synergies, asymmetric creature attrition, and poison combat damage. Led by The Serpent Society, the list transforms cheap deathtouch creatures into potent rattlesnakes that force opponents to sacrifice nontoken creatures whenever your blockers or attackers die. The commander's built-in Ward of five poison counters heavily taxes single-target removal, while external sacrifice engines like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos compound the attrition. The primary win condition relies on applying combat pressure through evasive deathtouch attackers amplified by Fynn, the Fangbearer, Unstoppable Slasher, Agent of the Shadow Thieves, and Triumph of the Hordes. While the deck excels at suppressing opposing creature boards and maintaining card flow through Black Widow, Deadly Hunter and Deathreap Ritual, it lacks instant-speed stack interaction and mass sweeper protection, leaving its multi-turn combat finish vulnerable to non-creature combos and full board wipes.
