Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain, control, and combo build helmed by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. By leveraging Oloro's eminence ability from the command zone, the deck constantly buffers its life total while setting up powerful resource engines like Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe, and The One Ring. Mid-game development transitions into high-impact threats and resilient Sphinx beaters, such as Consecrated Sphinx, Tivit, Seller of Secrets, and Archangel of Thune. The primary win condition is the classic two-card infinite combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond, which instantly drains all opponents upon any life gain or loss. Secondary win routes include lethal laser bursts via Aetherflux Reservoir, massive token generation with Elenda and Azor, and an uncounterable 20/20 Marit Lage from Dark Depths. A solid suite of spot removal, board wipes, and phase-out effects provides the protection required to close out the game.
