Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Vampire tribal midrange deck commanded by Strefan, Maurer Progenitor. The core strategy revolves around causing early life loss to generate Blood tokens at each end step, which Strefan then sacrifices during combat to cheat high-cost, high-impact Vampires onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible. Once large threats like Necropolis Regent, Crossway Troublemakers, and Markov Enforcer hit the board, the deck compounds its advantage through +1/+1 counters, life drain via Sanctum Seeker and Malakir Bloodwitch, and asymmetric creature attrition from Butcher of Malakir and Anowon, the Ruin Sage. The deck relies on natural tribal redundancy and Blood token looting to maintain momentum, backed by one-sided board wipes like Olivia's Wrath. It aims to assemble its cheat engine by Turn 5 and close out the table through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 8.
