Deck overview

This Edric, Spymaster of Trest deck executes a classic 'Flying Men' tempo strategy designed to bury the table under overwhelming card advantage and chain extra turns into an inevitable combat victory. The deck deploys low-cost evasive creatures on the first two turns, introduces Edric on Turn 3, and immediately begins drawing multiple cards per turn cycle by attacking unblocked opponents. As the creature suite expands on Turn 4, the velocity accelerates into massive card draw, digging into high-impact mana acceleration like Druids' Repository and Growing Rites of Itlimoc. Once sufficient mana is established, the deck transitions into extra turn sorceries such as Notorious Throng, Walk the Aeons, and Part the Waterveil, or finishes the table through decisive combat pump spells including Beastmaster Ascension and Biomass Mutation. A dense suite of cheap countermagic and protective creatures insulates the engine from sweepers and removal, ensuring that once the card draw snowball begins, opponents cannot break its momentum.
