Deck overview

This Rakdos deck leverages Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls to turn symmetric group slug damage into massive asymmetric card advantage. By deploying cheap, persistent life-loss engines such as Creeping Bloodsucker, Fate Unraveler, and Sulfuric Vortex, the deck triggers Valgavoth on every opponent's turn, drawing up to three extra cards per rotation while growing the commander into a lethal flying threat. The deck converts this overwhelming card flow into a fast, decisive finish using redundant variants of the classic Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond infinite life-drain loop, supported by Bloodthirsty Conqueror, Enduring Tenacity, and Marauding Blight-Priest. An extensive suite of creature removal, sweepers, and punishing stax elements like Painful Quandary and Polluted Bonds suppresses opposing boards and empties enemy hands. While vulnerable to mass exile wipes and enchantment removal, the deck maintains high redundancy, rapid recovery, and lethal combo inevitability.
