Deck overview

This Mardu deck is a focused battlecruiser build commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. Its primary game plan is to accelerate mana on turns 1 and 2, deploy protective equipment, and cast Kaalia on turn 3 or 4. Upon attacking, Kaalia bypasses casting costs to put game-ending Demons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck pairs single-target lethality, most notably Master of Cruelties, with devastating life-halving and damage-doubling attrition pieces like Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Archfiend of Despair, and Wound Reflection. A dense equipment suite safeguards Kaalia from targeted removal, ensuring repeatable attack triggers. While the list lacks fast mana and dedicated tutors, its high concentration of interchangeable threats and resilient shielding enables it to consistently eliminate opponents starting on turn 4 and close out the table by turn 6.
