Deck overview

This is a land-animation beatdown deck helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender, leveraging the "earthbend" mechanic to turn lands into hasty creatures with +1/+1 counters. The primary game plan is to ramp aggressively, deploy counter doublers like Hardened Scales and Branching Evolution, then animate a swarm of land creatures via earthbend spells and creatures. The deck accelerates its clock with Bumi, Unleashed for an extra combat phase and Toph, Greatest Earthbender for double strike, often finishing multiple opponents in a single turn. The commander itself is a utility piece that makes non-token artifacts into lands, enabling more earthbend targets, but the core strategy functions without it. The deck lacks traditional infinite combos, relying on overwhelming combat damage with trample and protection spells.
