Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a Grixis Goblin/Orc-tribal token deck that uses Sauron, the Dark Lord as a repeatable hand-refill engine: amass triggers build an Army, and when that Army deals combat damage the Ring tempts you, letting you discard a dead hand and draw four. The secondary line is classic Goblin swarm, with Goblin Recruiter and Goblin Matron tutoring Krenko, Mob Boss and Muxus, Goblin Grandee. A parallel amass finish turns a huge Army into a one-shot via Chandra's Ignition, Isengard Unleashed, or Assault on Osgiliath. Sauron, Lord of the Rings is the pseudo-hidden commander, adding a cast-trigger amass/mill/reanimate and a 9/9 trample body. The deck is mid-speed and creature-centric.
