Deck overview

This Sultai deck harnesses Elf tribal mana acceleration and graveyard mechanics under the command of Thranduil, the Elvenking. By copying the activated abilities of all Elves in the graveyard, Thranduil functions as a lethal modular combo piece. The primary game plan accelerates mana through efficient dorks like Bloom Tender and Priest of Titania, casts Thranduil on Turn 4, and uses Buried Alive on Turn 5 to place Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord directly into the graveyard. Thranduil then generates arbitrarily high power and infinite green mana by placing counters with Magistrate's ability and untapping with Druid's ability, before sacrificing a secondary creature with Jarad's ability to drain all opponents simultaneously. If the combo route is obstructed, the deck transitions smoothly into wide Elf combat overruns supported by Coat of Arms, The Great Henge, and Triumph of the Hordes.
