Format: Commander

Commander: Blech, Loafing Pest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest commands a midrange lifegain and typal counters strategy focused on Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. The primary game plan develops a wide board of these creature types while triggering consistent lifegain through landfall, combat, and death triggers to distribute mass +1/+1 counters. Combat damage quickly eliminates opponents thanks to evasion enablers like Duskshell Crawler and Hagra Constrictor. Secondarily, the deck possesses lethal drain loops, specifically the infinite combo of Exquisite Blood paired with Enduring Tenacity or South Wind Avatar, as well as reach through Ishkanah, Grafwidow and direct life drain.
