Deck overview

This Abzan toughness-matters deck turns high-toughness walls and defenders into an aggressive combat force. Felothar the Steadfast is the primary commander: it grants all creatures the ability to assign combat damage using toughness, lets defenders attack, and converts extra creatures into card draw. The deck also includes Doran, the Siege Tower and Bedrock Tortoise as redundant toughness-damage effects, plus a partner pair in Ikra Shidiqi and Sidar Kondo that can serve as an alternate command zone. The main plan is to deploy cheap walls, ramp with defender-based mana dorks, then swing with huge toughness values while using Felothar's activated ability to refill. Secondary paths include a massive Wingmantle Chaplain bird swarm, life-total manipulation with Tree of Perdition, and a one-shot Towering Titan. The deck is built around Felothar's face, with Doran and Bedrock Tortoise as backup enablers.
