Deck overview

This deck executes an aggro-control strategy centered on Storm, Windrider, leveraging evasion, targeted combat tricks, and Repartee triggers. By granting flying to targeted creatures, Storm prevents opposing flyers from blocking your attackers or attacking you in return. Low-cost instants like Defiant Strike, Charge Through, and Seeds of Strength trigger counter-distribution from Stirring Hopesinger and token production from Informed Inkwright while keeping attacks completely unblockable. The list reinforces this offensive clock with potent aerial threats including Battle Angels of Tyr, Aerial Extortionist, and Sephara, Sky's Blade. On defense, combining Storm with Island Sanctuary creates a total combat lock against grounded and airborne attacks alike. A deep suite of low-mana protective spells such as Tyvar's Stand, Restoration Magic, and Selfless Spirit ensures your key threats withstand opposing removal while chipping through 120 life across the table.
