Deck overview

This deck pairs Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart to create a synergistic midrange engine centered on token creation and wide +1/+1 counter distribution. Michelangelo attacks early to generate Food tokens each turn, immediately triggering Leonardo to put +1/+1 counters on your entire creature army. The 99 amplifies this core engine using token multipliers like Peregrin Took and Academy Manufactor, counter accelerators such as The Earth Crystal and Hardened Scales, and defensive spells like Ripples of Potential and Mutational Advantage. Because both halves of the primary engine reside in the command zone, the deck consistently develops its board by Turn 4. It pivots to a lethal state around Turn 6 through asymmetric board wipes like Damning Verdict, damage multipliers like Raphael, the Muscle, or Leonardo's five-color overrun ability. While vulnerable to early spot removal and reliant on natural draws for protection, it grinds out opponents with resilient, high-stat boards.
