Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger deck built around Rielle, the Everwise. The primary strategy leverages cheap discard and looting spells to rapidly churn through the library while triggering Rielle's ability to draw cards equal to the number discarded once each turn. This massive card velocity quickly stocks the graveyard with instants and sorceries, scaling Rielle, Crackling Drake, and Enigma Drake into massive powerhouses. Win conditions revolve around granting these creatures haste and evasion with Maximize Velocity or Maximize Altitude, converting their power into direct burn with Gravitic Punch, Fling, and Kazuul's Fury, or draining the table with Psychosis Crawler and Magmakin Artillerist. The deck backs up this proactive plan with a robust suite of countermagic and bounce spells, including a soft card-neutral lock with Forbid. While highly resilient against fair interaction due to its overwhelming card draw, the deck remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and heavy stax.
