Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a classic Elfball strategy led by Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The deck accelerates rapidly in the opening turns using 1-drop mana dorks and cost-effective ramp. It lands Lathril on Turn 3, then uses evasion equipment and auras to connect in combat, creating a wide army of Elf Warrior tokens. Scaling mana engines like Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, and Three Tree City convert high creature counts into massive mana reserves. This mana fuels game-ending overrun effects from Ezuri, Renegade Leader, Finale of Devastation, and Banner of Kinship, or powers direct life drain through Lathril's tap ability and Shaman of the Pack. The deck protects its board with Heroic Intervention and Lightning Greaves, while card engines like Beast Whisperer maintain gas. Its main vulnerabilities are mass exile sweepers and heavy early interaction that denies Lathril combat connections.
