Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis spellslinger storm strategy built around Fire Lord Azula. Azula generates two red mana via Firebending 2 whenever she attacks and copies every spell cast while she is attacking. The deck exploits this combat window by casting instant rituals and card draw, doubling their output for explosive mana and hand size. By tutoring or drawing into instant-speed flash enablers like Borne Upon a Wind, the deck casts permanent engines and sorceries during combat, duplicating them into token copies and doubled spell triggers. Payoffs like Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, and Veyran, Voice of Duality generate massive treasure and card volume. The sequence culminates in a single-turn table elimination through Past in Flames recasts and lethal burn from Expansion // Explosion or storm chains. Supported by lean 1-mana interaction and redirection, the deck consistently threatens decisive wins on Turn 4.
