Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis combat spellslinger deck piloted by Fire Lord Azula. The strategy revolves around deploying early mana acceleration and cost reducers to cast Azula on Turn 3, enabling her to attack on Turn 4. Each attack generates {R}{R} via Firebending 2 and automatically copies any spell cast during combat. By casting instant-speed card draw, rituals, and combat tricks during the declare attackers step, the deck doubles the efficiency of its spells and triggers potent magecraft engines such as Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, and Veyran, Voice of Duality. Incidental burn from Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, and Coruscation Mage rapidly depletes opposing life totals. The deck culminates on Turn 5–6 by copying massive X-spells like Torment of Hailfire, Crackle with Power, and Comet Storm, or executing an infinite mana loop with Mana Geyser and Reiterate to close out the game.
