Deck overview

This deck is a focused Selesnya +1/+1 counters and creature combat deck commanded by Sovereign Okinec Ahau. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost creatures on the early turns, modifying them with initial +1/+1 counters or static power buffs, and casting Okinec to attack. When Okinec attacks, its ability permanently doubles the power difference between each creature's current power and its base power by placing additional counters. This mechanic creates compounding, exponential power scaling across the entire battlefield. The deck leverages high creature synergy and anthem effects such as Anthem of Champions, Luminarch Aspirant, and Virtue of Loyalty to ensure Okinec triggers immediately upon entering combat. To translate overwhelming stats into lethal table finishes, the list incorporates trample and evasion enablers like Garruk's Uprising, Storm the Seedcore, and Moonshaker Cavalry. While vulnerable to mass sweepers, the deck presents an explosive clock once its attack engine starts rolling.
