Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Izzet spellslinger combo engine piloted by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi acts as both a win condition and a ritual engine: each noncreature spell adds a +1/+1 counter and deals 1 damage to each opponent, while tapping Vivi for {0} generates mana equal to its power. The deck weaponizes damage-to-draw effects like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, and Tandem Lookout, which draw three cards every time Vivi pings all opponents, fueling explosive storm chains. It features a compact two-card infinite mana combo between Vivi and Quicksilver Elemental, as well as the format-defining Underworld Breach and Brain Freeze loop. Backed by elite free countermagic like Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Force of Will, the deck reliably initiates game-ending storm sequences by Turn 4 with zero opponent response cycles once the storm turn starts.
