Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Lathril, Blade of the Elves as the centerpiece for an explosive Elfball aggro-combo strategy. Early turns deploy efficient one-drop mana dorks to accelerate into high-yield mana producers like Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid. Casting Lathril on Turn 3 sets up a Turn 4 combat swing that multiplies your Elf count. The deck converts broad boards into overwhelming card draw through Beast Whisperer, Pact of the Serpent, and Skullclamp. On Turn 5, massive mana allows the deck to close the game via Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, or an infinite mana loop using Marwyn, the Nurturer with Umbral Mantle. The list features robust protection against board wipes via Heroic Intervention and Selfless Safewright, while maintaining independent overrun lines if Lathril is removed.
