Deck overview

This is a slow Dimir Zombie deck built around The Scarab God's repeatable graveyard conversion. The commander turns opposing or self-milled creatures into 4/4 Zombies, while cards such as Endless Ranks of the Dead, Liliana's Mastery, Rooftop Storm, and Army of the Damned expand the board. Zombie lords and death payoffs provide additional pressure, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Vela the Night-Clad can add reach. The deck's main weakness is access: it has almost no broad tutoring, so the commander, mana, payoff, and protection pieces rarely appear together on an early curve. Its many tapped lands and expensive spells further delay operation. Removal and counterspells make it interactive, but holding them up often delays development. The deck can dominate a long game when its graveyard engine survives, but it does not reliably assemble a compact win or total lockout.
