Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck leverages Renari, Merchant of Marvels to cast Dragon and artifact spells at instant speed. By deploying early mana rocks and cost reducers like Sapphire Medallion and Urza's Incubator, the deck establishes a flexible tempo engine by Turn 4. Holding mana open allows the pilot to threaten countermagic such as Mana Drain and Silumgar's Scorn while flashing in massive flying threats like Ancient Silver Dragon and Astral Dragon on opponents' end steps. Continuous card flow engines like Kindred Discovery and Wavebreak Hippocamp keep resources replenished. The deck finishes games through decisive aerial combat damage over two to three attack rotations, protected by built-in ward abilities, hexproof support from Dragonologist, and one-sided sweepers like Raise the Palisade.
