Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Simic Frog tribal and self-mill midrange list commanded by Grolnok, the Omnivore. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the first two turns, deploys cheap Frogs, and resolves Grolnok on Turn 4. Attacking with Frogs repeatedly mills cards, exiling all milled permanents with croak counters to create a massive virtual hand. The deck converts this resource advantage into lethal pressure around Turn 6 by casting discounted permanents via Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius, stacking counters with Branching Evolution and Door of Destinies, and overrunning opponents with giant tramplers like Galloping Lizrog and Froghemoth or triggering Twenty-Toed Toad. While highly resilient against standard board wipes due to the persistent croak-exile pool, the deck is vulnerable to commander removal that locks out exile access, and self-milling permanently removes its instant-speed interaction.
