Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and control strategy commanded by Ruric Thar, Biomagus. It leverages early-game mana rocks, tap effects, and creature-neutralizing Auras like Frogify and Infinite Coursework to stall opposing threats while hitting land drops. On Turn 5, it deploys its 6-mana commander, turning on double prowess triggers from the deck's dense package of instants, sorceries, and artifacts. The offensive plan relies primarily on evasive commander damage, protected by cards like Hammer of Nazahn, Whispersilk Cloak, and targeted counterspells. While the deck boasts respectable mid-game card flow and single-target creature suppression, it lacks combo finishes, asymmetric stax pieces, or sweeping board clears. Consequently, closing out a full 4-player pod takes multiple turn cycles of aerial attacks.
