Commander: Experiment Kraj

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Experiment Kraj leads a Simic counter deck that converts +1/+1 counters into card draw and an alternate Simic Ascendancy win. The primary plan is to ramp into Kraj, put counters on value creatures such as Fathom Mage and Keeper of the Mind, and then copy their activated abilities with Kraj. Secondary paths include Oath of Druids to cheat large creatures, hand-size draw spells like Oath of Scholars and Teachings of the Archaics, and a combat finish with Avatar of Might, Colossal Skyturtle, or Lumbering Falls. The deck is not a fast combo deck; it wins through steady counter accumulation, with Simic Ascendancy as the cleanest ender. Kruphix and the two legendary crystals multiply counters, while Mutational Advantage and Simic Charm protect the board.
