Deck overview

This mono-black deck helmed by Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival is a flexible control-reanimator build that wins through multiple independent paths. The primary plan is to use Zenos s ETB as a pseudo-wrath, then remove the chosen creature to transform into Shinryu and win when that opponent loses. Alternative victories include reanimating Phage the Untouchable for an instant kill, draining the table with Gray Merchant of Asphodel, accumulating 10 point counters on Strixhaven Stadium, or attacking with Summon: Primal Odin (which grants player loses on combat damage). The deck packs an absurd density of cheap spot removal (20+ pieces), strong recursion (Animate Dead, Reanimate, Agadeem s Awakening), and powerful draw engines (The One Ring, Phyrexian Arena) to generate consistent card flow. Fast mana from rituals and zero-cost artifacts enables explosive early turns.
