Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger Storm list centered on the prepare mechanic and commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The deck uses low-cost creatures that enter the battlefield prepared, allowing the pilot to cast powerful spell halves that Codie automatically duplicates. Acceleration from multi-color dorks like Bloom Tender and Faeburrow Elder enables a smooth Turn 4 assembly. The deck transitions into a lethal win attempt on Turn 5, utilizing Displacer Kitten to create infinite mana loops with prepare spells such as Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song or Goblin Glasswright // Craft with Pride. Alternatively, value engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Ashling, Flame Dancer generate massive storm counts. The deck finishes games on the spot through infinite burn from Vivi Ornitier or a table-wide Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. While the list features dense card draw and strong built-in flicker resilience, it remains vulnerable to stack-based interaction due to a lack of traditional counterspells.
