Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue control, token-multiplication, and mill engine piloted by Council of Reeds. Because the commander waives the legend rule for your creatures, casting a noncreature spell before combat triggers an exponential duplication of Council copies. The deck quickly converts this expanding army of legendary 2/2s into overwhelming mana with Relic of Legends and Three Tree City, total board lockdown via Opposition, or immediate table-wide milling through Altar of the Brood and Sage's Row Denizen. In parallel, standalone mill synergies such as Bruvac the Grandiloquent combined with Maddening Cacophony or Cut Your Losses provide lethal, deterministic alternate win conditions that do not rely on combat. Robust mono-blue interaction, including Fierce Guardianship, Mana Drain, Raise the Palisade, and March of Swirling Mist, protects the board while disrupting opposing development. The list achieves steady, compounding advantages and transitions from early token deployment to a total lock or library depletion by Turn 5 to 7.
