Deck overview

Plagon, Lord of the Beach commands an optimized cEDH Azorius combo deck that leverages zero-mana, high-toughness creatures into explosive early card advantage. By playing defenders like Shield Sphere, Phyrexian Walker, and Ornithopter on Turn 1, Plagon draws three to five cards upon entering on Turn 2. This massive grip sculpts rapid, protected winning lines by Turn 3 via Displacer Kitten and Teferi, Time Raveler or Valley Floodcaller with Retraction Helix. Supported by premium stack interaction and silence effects like Silence, Grand Abolisher, and Voice of Victory, the deck reliably shuts down opposing disruption before executing its loops. Once infinite mana and card draw are achieved with zero-mana artifacts, the deck eliminates all three opponents in the same turn using Glaring Fleshraker, Altar of the Brood, or Blind Obedience, presenting a fast, consistent clock.
