Format: Commander

Commander: Kosei, Penitent Warlord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-green deck centers on Kosei, Penitent Warlord as a Voltron commander. The primary plan is to satisfy Kosei's triple condition-enchanted, equipped, and with a counter-to unlock his devastating combat trigger: drawing cards equal to damage dealt and dealing that damage to each other opponent. With enough power, this single swing can eliminate the entire table, especially when combined with infect from Grafted Exoskeleton or Triumph of the Hordes. The deck is densely packed with auras, equipment, and counter synergies (Hydra's Growth, Innkeeper's Talent, Sword of Hours) to rapidly scale power, while a robust protection suite of umbra armors, instant-speed hexproof/indestructible spells, and Mithril Coat keeps Kosei on the battlefield. It is a focused, linear strategy that relies heavily on the commander.
