Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats build led by Ayara, First of Locthwain. The strategy focuses on converting cheap black creatures and recurring tokens into steady card draw and incremental life drain. Ayara sits in the command zone as both a sacrifice outlet and a primary card-advantage engine, ensuring consistent access to resources as long as creature fodder remains on the battlefield. During the early turns, the deck deploys ramp artifacts and token generators such as Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia and Ophiomancer. In the mid game, it stacks death-trigger payoffs like Blood Artist and Bastion of Remembrance to amplify life swings. The deck closes games on turn 6 through high-impact finishers. Resolving Plague of Vermin with Ayara in play drains the entire table in a single turn, while Bolas's Citadel and Gray Merchant of Asphodel provide explosive alternate win conditions. The deck exhibits deep functional redundancy but lacks instant-speed interaction and protective spells.
