Deck overview

This Temur Spellslinger deck is commanded by Iroh, Grand Lotus, focusing on leveraging Lesson spells as high-velocity recursive resources. During early turns, the deck develops mana with land-based ramp while casting cheap Lessons and instants to filter draws, interact with early threats, and fill the graveyard. Once Iroh enters on Turn 6, every Lesson in the graveyard gains flashback for {1}, which can be reduced to {0} mana by cost-reducers like Uncle Iroh or Longshot, Rebel Bowman. This unlocks massive multi-spell turns on Turn 7 that trigger magecraft and counter engines including Archmage Emeritus, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Caldera Pyremaw, and Toph, Hardheaded Teacher. The deck closes the game on Turn 8 through accumulated burn triggers, overwhelming Drake swarms, or buffed trampling attacks via Overwhelming Victory, with Simic Ascendancy serving as a viable alternative win condition.
