Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Grixis midrange and control build centered around Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages the amass Orcs mechanic and the Ring tempts you mechanic to generate overwhelming board presence and continuous card advantage. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and passive value engines like Call of the Ring or Black Market Connections. Once Sauron resolves, every opposing spell cast fuels your Army, while Sauron's steep Ward cost deters targeted answers. Connecting with an Army triggers the Ring temptation ability, enabling you to discard spent hands and draw four fresh cards each turn. The deck closes games through evasive combat damage from massive Armies, lethal Nazgûl beatdown, and commander damage, supported by an efficient Grixis interaction suite.
