burns by AndK

Format: Commander

Commander: Black Waltz No. 3

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Rakdos burn deck is built around Black Waltz No. 3, using its triggered ability to deal 2 damage to each opponent every time a noncreature spell is cast. The deck doubles down on this effect by generating an army of 0/1 Wizard tokens (via cards like Transpose, Cornered by Black Mages, and Young Pyromancer) that also trigger on noncreature spells, then amplifies those triggers with Harmonic Prodigy and the transformed Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. The core game plan is to chain cheap instants and sorceries-often fueled by rituals like Dark Ritual and Seething Song-to drain the entire table incrementally. Secondary wins include a storm finish with Grapeshot or a large Exsanguinate after generating significant mana. The deck operates at a low power bracket, relying on redundancy of burn triggers rather than tutors or fast combos.
