Deck overview

This Golgari deck is an aristocrats and Voltron hybrid piloted by Ygra, Eater of All. Ygra turns every other creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact. This unique ability turns standard artifact sweepers like Fade from History and Rampage of the Clans into devastating one-sided wipes that eradicate all opposing creatures and artifacts while pumping Ygra with massive quantities of +1/+1 counters. The deck accelerates into Ygra by Turn 4 using a dense suite of 1–2 CMC mana dorks and land search. Once Ygra is deployed, the deck leverages card draw engines like Viridian Revel and Return of the Wildspeaker to refill its hand while granting Ygra trample and unblockability to eliminate opponents via lethal commander damage. In addition to combat, the deck contains an infinite draw and token loop using Peregrin Took and Experimental Confectioner, closing games with aristocrat drain or a game-ending Torment of Hailfire.
