Deck overview

Queen Marchesa leads a Mardu human/legendary beatdown deck that uses the monarch to generate Assassin tokens while equipping a single evasive or double-striking threat. The deck pressures life totals with anthem effects, double strike, and damage doublers, and it can pivot into a planeswalker subtheme around Rowan, Fearless Sparkmage. The commander's haste and deathtouch make her an immediate monarch threat, and her upkeep trigger replaces the monarch if it is stolen. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins through incremental combat damage, often closing with Angrath's Marauders or Sunhome double strike on a large equipped creature.
