Deck overview

This Golgari Spider Tribal deck is helmed by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant, turning an army of reach-equipped Arachnids into a lethal board-control engine. By granting all Spiders deathtouch and ward {2}, Shelob creates a formidable defensive front while converting opposing creatures into Food copies through fight effects like Cosmic Hunger and pingers like Viridian Longbow. The early game focuses on deploying 1- and 2-mana ramp to cast Shelob ahead of curve on Turn 4 or 5. Once assembled, the deck floods the board using token generators such as Arasta of the Endless Web, Ishkanah, Grafwidow, and Spider Spawning. Victory is secured through decisive combat overruns with Beastmaster Ascension, Triumph of the Hordes, or direct drain via Rotwidow Pack. Robust protection spells including Heroic Intervention and Asceticism shield the engine from opposing wipes, establishing a resilient midrange presence.
