Deck overview

This Gruul deck is led by Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly, utilizing high mana value creatures with alternate low casting costs to fuel the commander's web-slinging mechanic. By warping Bygone Colossus for three mana or using discount beaters like Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Lumbering Megasloth, and Draco, the deck returns a tapped behemoth to hand to enter the commander with 9 to 16 +1/+1 counters as early as Turn 4. Trample ensures combat damage pushes through opposing blockers, while damage multipliers like Xenagos, God of Revels, Unnatural Growth, and Bulk Up quickly turn hits into one-shot commander eliminations. The deck also packs a compact two-card win condition with Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame to create an arbitrarily large army of hasty attackers. Supported by anti-countermagic pieces like Rhythm of the Wild and resilient defensive spells like Heroic Intervention, the list exerts heavy mid-game combat pressure.
