Commander: Talrand, Sky Summoner

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Talrand, Sky Summoner to turn a heavy suite of low-cost instants and sorceries into an evasive army. You maintain control of the board by countering key threats, bouncing problem permanents, and drawing cards. Each cast generates 2/2 flying Drake tokens, allowing you to build board presence while holding up open mana. The primary win condition is overwhelming opponents through evasive combat damage, accelerated by anthem effects like Favorable Winds or a late-game Candlekeep Inspiration. Secondary paths include locking the board with Hullbreaker Horror or chaining spells via Archmage of Runes.
