Abzan Walkers by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Teneb, the Harvester

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a midrange Abzan reanimator strategy helmed by Teneb, the Harvester. The primary game plan accelerates mana via dorks and land ramp, then casts Teneb or reanimation spells to recur high-value creatures such as Ashen Rider, Grave Titan, and Sun Titan from graveyards. A strong planeswalker subtheme (Ajani, Elspeth, Liliana, Ob Nixilis) provides card advantage, removal, and alternate win conditions through ultimates. The deck wins through overwhelming combat damage after controlling the board with eight symmetric board wipes; it contains no infinite combos. Teneb can also steal creatures from opponents, but his reliance on dealing combat damage makes the strategy telegraphed and slow. The deck functions well without the commander, relying on its own recursion and value generation.
