Deck overview

This deck leverages Riku of Many Paths at the helm of a modal-spellslinger strategy designed to generate incremental value, evasive board presence, and burst damage. Casting modal spells with multiple choices allows Riku to trigger modularly, churning out 1/1 flying Bird tokens, growing Riku with +1/+1 counters and trample, and exiling cards for extended-turn impulse access. The deck features extensive interaction woven directly into its engine, as many of its core cantrips and removal spells double as modal enablers. Mana acceleration is smooth and grounded on standard rocks, creature mana dorks via Cryptolith Rite and Elven Chorus, and basic land ramp. While the deck eschews infinite combos and stax pieces, it pressures life totals by converting wide flying boards into game-ending combat steps with pump spells like Gnawing Crescendo or burn engines like Impact Tremors and Goblin Bombardment.
