Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Abzan stax and combo build powered by Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The core strategy deploys dense early acceleration to establish asymmetrical hatebears on Turns 1 and 2, including Drannith Magistrate, Collector Ouphe, and Rule of Law effects like Archon of Emeria. While opponents struggle under tight restrictions on spellcasting, commanders, and artifact activations, Tayam completely breaks parity by using its activated ability to reanimate low-mana permanents directly from the graveyard at instant speed. The deck accumulates counters from Tayam's innate vigilance triggers and creature abilities, converting them into continuous board development and self-mill. Once fully assembled on Turn 5, Tayam loops counter-generating creatures and sacrifice outlets to mill the entire library, finishing the game on the spot by repeatedly recurring Orcish Bowmasters to eliminate all three opponents without passing priority.
